Our location

Frenchville State School is one of the largest schools within the Central  Queensland Region.

The school is located on the corner of Frenchville Road and Geordie Street, North Rockhampton.

Our postal address is Frenchville State School, PO Box 9870, Frenchville, North Rockhampton, Queensland, 4701.

Frenchville State School is nestled in the foothills of the Berserker Mountains. The suburb of Frenchville and the housing estates of Hillside, Larafield, St Clare, Greenslopes, Constantia, Frenchville Valley, Cascade Gardens, Norman Gardens and The Sanctuary are growth areas with vacant land prices starting from around $170 000.

Frenchville is a popular area because of the views, the continued development and the resulting high resale value of the residences.

SafeST Committee

school zone travel signThe Frenchville Safe School Travel (SafeST) Committee meets once a term as part of our P&C meeting agenda to review the traffic issues surrounding our school and to monitor the safety of students as they travel to and from school.  The committee has successfully overseen the installation of traffic lights, the ongoing review of parking areas, and provides input to the Department of Transport, Main Roads  and Rockhampton Regional Council about important traffic safety issues.  The SafeST Committee also promotes a police presence around our school.  In 2012 the SafeST Committee supported students to make a movie to promote safe travel around our school.  Students were congratulated for their initiative and local media promoted the success  of the student movie.  The SafeST Committee has a strategic plan (PDF, 184 KB)  to guide its actions.
